THE ROBERT A. HEADLAND SCHOLARSHIPS INC.
A KIWANIS DIVISION 15 PROJECT SINCE 1977
Managed by the Past District Officers
Robert A. Headland was a past President and a charter member of the Kiwanis Club of Greater Pomona and was the Lt. Governor of Division 15 in 1969. Bob was an investment counselor in Claremont and died prematurely at the age of 46 in June 1977. Bob worked tirelessly with Kiwanis and especially with the youth of the community. He invested a great deal of time and money in helping needy and deserving young people. Much of this work was not publicly known until after his death when recipients made his assistance known. He personified the best in Kiwanis.
SOURCES OF FUNDS
Starting funds came from Division 15 Clubs and friends of Bob Headland.
The growth of the funds depends on donations from several sources:
• Most Kiwanis clubs in Division 15 make annual contributions.
• Individuals and clubs make honorarium or memorial gifts.
• Bequests from estates are welcomed.
Contributions should be made to the R. A. Headland Scholarships Inc. and sent to the corporate Treasurer:
